Ask yourself the following: what do I want to give and what do I want to receive and why?
The simple practice is the act of writing it down and asking yourself the questions. Often times we are good at giving but have trouble with being on the receiving end.
I asked myself these questions and shared with Susan. And now I am sharing with you! Here it goes from the journal of Nicole Breen!
I want to provide empowerment. I want to help people to realize they are more than their thoughts tell them – they are more than their past has delivered them – they can create and live a life of peace and happiness. I want to help make the world a better place. One person is touched by this message and passes it along – the message of peace will spread. Peace will prevail. That is how I pray every day.
I want to receive my most pure, simple form of self and I want to live simply and peacefully everyday. In giving others a voice, I claim my voice. In community we are stronger than the individual. We are one and when others are at peace and are happy – I am too in that place of peace.
So yeah, we can celebrate giving and receiving in summer and all year – by living yoga! Trust me, there are days when I feel like the universe has me flipped upside down and full speed into reverse. I take control by asking myself the questions and by going back to the simple practice of journaling and meditation – it helps me make sense of it all.
