A wake-up call is any energetic event prompting you from one state of consciousness to another.
Have you ever been driving late at night and you are so drowsy your eyelids feel like they gained 5 lbs., and all the sudden you get a bolt of energy. Or you are in a rush in the morning on your way to school or work, and a deer, fox, squirrel or other animal darts in front of your car so you slam on the brakes. Maybe you’ve been thinking of starting a business, applying for a new job position or reaching out to an old friend who keeps popping into mind. Or you had a wild and crazy dream with people you haven’t thought of in years.
These are what I call “spiritual telephone calls”. They are messages from universal divine energy trying to wake, nudge, poke and motivate you to action moving you from one state of consciousness to a higher one.
So, wake up! Pay attention! The universe is trying to help you. It could be a guardian angel jolting you with energy while you’re driving because you still have work to do, or a spirit animal dashing in front of your car to give you a specific message. That inspired idea for a business, job or old friend is leading you toward your divine purpose (dharma). And, that dream is communicating messages on a sub-conscious level to help raise your vibrational energy to conscious awareness.
Don’t just brush it off. Spend a few minutes or longer in reflection to figure out the message. Talk to a friend about your experience or journal it on paper to help you decipher the meaning. The universe is always seeking harmony. These nudges are leading you…guiding you toward that blissful state of abundant joy. So wake-up! Answer the spiritual telephone call. Listen to the message and then take “right action”.
