From my journal October 12, 2016
Bit by bit, we reclaim ourselves – the lost pieces that were discarded, stuffed, repressed, hidden and denied. We find and reclaim the parts we didn’t know existed, the ones we are deathly afraid of, feel guilty about or ashamed of.
When we begin our practice, we embrace, empathize and forgive the inner child. We find the truth – the real, raw, energetic truth; and we find the courage to express that truth in a loving, detached and compassionate way which brings forth clarity that is both surprising and delightful. We begin to see people, situations and life events through divine eyes. It is utterly amazing, and a peace beyond all understanding fills us as we trustfully surrender to each moment. This is the process of yoga; this is how we reclaim “Self”; and this is how I will live!
