Corporate Health & Wellness is pretty popular right now, but are the wellness committees really focused on the right initiatives? Workplaces are handing out fitness trackers, hiring weight loss consultants, personal trainers and even yoga instructors; they are having contests and challenges; and all of it is focused on one thing…the sculpted physical results.
There’s a lot of misconception around wellness and true health and vibrancy. Corporations and businesses are craving a desired effect, and therefore structure their programs around getting the effects that they want. They fail to look at the cause. The cause of all suffering, illness, lack, struggle, discord and disharmony is the mind. The mind and its perceptions, views and beliefs both conscious and unconscious cause the suffering and imbalance.
In order to change the world we live in (our bodies and our environment), we must start with the inside; we must start with the mind. The first steps needed are becoming aware of fears, attachments, aversions and ego driven thoughts and actions grounded in a false reality of lack, limitation and darkness; we must change the thought habit patterns and knowledge passed down (karmic DNA) that were born of fear; because those thoughts are just NOT TRUE. Then we use the tools of mindfulness, the spiritual – energetic laws of the universe, and yoga to clear away the mental clutter and move into a state of abundance and joy; a state of love.
Human thought is spiritual power operating in the universe through man. The work we need to do in wellness is purifying human thought and becoming emotionally – spiritually intelligent…wise. As we instill new thought patterns and habits rooted in love and service, we begin to heal every part of the human body and our environment. This mindfulness work brings everyone into their own power, strength and purpose.
However, this work is not something that can be forced. It has to be desired by the individual. The person wanting to grow, develop and move beyond limited thinking. Each individual has to want it, because it takes effort and requires change. They have to want to stop the craziness, the busyness that lives in their minds and take the steps to move into awareness. It is not a complex process, but does require guidance and determination to face fears, recognize and release attachments and drop the ego-centered self that keeps pushing us in the wrong direction.
Corporate Health and Wellness cannot be jammed down your throat. It has to be explained and made accessible; it has to be reinforced and supported. And, then the choice to embrace “true wellness” is theirs to do or not. So the real question is “Are you ready?”
If so, all you need to do is reach out. We are here to help…
