The need and desire to love and be loved is so powerful. It works on the undercurrents of spirit.
Too often we morph into an image of ourselves that we deem to be lovable, acceptable, worthy of the love we crave. Don’t get me wrong; this presentable image is part of you, but it is NOT the Whole of you, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The WHOLE (Wondrous, Holy, Omnipotent, Loving Energy) of you is pure.
When we are not living from our Whole Self, our whole truth, we are living a lie – a false image. Presenting forth what we have judged as good and bad, right and wrong, acceptable and unacceptable, lovable and unlovable.
LOVE ALL OF YOU!
We hear this affirmation all the time. But how does one go about loving oneself?
That is the journey of yoga. And, you can actively start to put “SELF-LOVE” into action by addressing the demons of spirit body. They are:
Fear – Root Chakra (Muladhara)
Guilt – Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)
Shame – Navel Chakra (Manipura)
Grief – Heart Chakra (Anahata)
Lies – Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)
Delusion – Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)
Attachment – Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)
Just pick one; ask yourself question(s) relative to what you are afraid of, feel guilty about, what embarrasses you, etc.; answer them completely, truthfully and fully; and then reclaim that piece of you that you threw away, discarded, or hid away in a locked closet. Own all of you tenderly and with the gentle, loving compassion that you would extend a new born child. Own it out-loud, proud and strong. Stand in the essence of your radiant grace.
