Fear is not a positive motivator for positive change. Positive change comes from a perspective of self-love.
“I love myself and want more joy, more presence, more peace in my life.” Now that is a motivator!
Suffering definitely leads to change – for sure. When suffering becomes too great, change is inevitable. And, the depth of suffering can propel a soul and inspire an individual to move forward; it helps motivate one to take the steps necessary to end the struggle, discomfort and pain. But it is the desire for life, joy and contentment that helps the change stick.
You are absolutely in charge of your own happiness. The question is: “Do you have the courage to take the steps needed to end that suffering, to walk into the light and to step into the power of unity with Self?
So, if life is wonderful, carefree and abundant right now, enjoy it! And when you wrestling with discontentment or suffering of any kind, perhaps these journaling questions will help you discover the path out.
