I was reflecting this morning on how I wanted to begin anew in 2018, and wanted to share a practice that I will be embracing: Create an intention every day. Intentions are not goals or phrases to control behavior. They don't need to be clever or fancy. Intentions are a means for directing the mind and energy in your life. Let's face it we all get caught up in negative thought loops. For Continue Reading
We are all on this journey…
We are all on this journey. It’s called LIFE (Living Inspired Fulfilled Energy). And, as we travel through time on this passage from youth to maturity, we are provided crossroads – choices. We perceive these choices as “good or bad”, “right or wrong”. They are neither; they are simply choices that show us the way to move into loving consciousness. Yes, some of the choices cause us pain and some Continue Reading
How does one find their purpose?
It is through our pain and passion that each of us is led to our purpose. It might seem a bit weird at first, but it’s true. Each of us experiences suffering on some level, however great or small, real or imagined. And it is through that suffering that we rise, recognize and reclaim self! It is through the process of reclaiming self, that our true gifts are uncovered. Those gifts might be: The Continue Reading
Who am I?
The question (Who am I?) is one that we ask ourselves when we begin the path of awareness and search for deeper meaning in our lives. Most of us define ourselves by the masks that we wear, the roles or archetypes that we put on like a piece of clothing. But that is not who we really are. We are far more than the masks or roles we assume and take on. We are spiritual beings living in a physical Continue Reading
I am so grateful…
I am so grateful to be a yoga teacher. The whole journey of finding yoga, studying, practicing, teaching, studying, practicing, teaching….It has helped me find an inner peace and joy that is delightful. I remember the turmoil of working in corporate American. The climb up the ladder, the incessant craving to make lots of money, the constant striving to prove myself especially as a woman in a Continue Reading
Time for change.
I love “The Game of Thrones”. The phrase “winter is coming” is a great representation of a call to action. It accurately depicts the crazy busy energy that begins with autumn. As we transition from summer to fall, the winds stir up. The leaves die and fall from the trees sharing their beautiful hues of red, orange and yellow. It’s time for change…to let go and listen, to flow with the winds of the Continue Reading
Divine energy always leads us toward our next step…
It is as it needs to be for now. I completely trust that divine energy always leads us toward our next step...sometimes it is a message teaching us a new lesson (which is usually quite painful or uncomfortable), sometimes we are in sync and it is fluid and easy; all divine energy leads us toward growth and loving purpose...for the highest good of all. I also trust that when something doesn't feel Continue Reading
Yoga Makes Me Normal
Yesterday morning I was vibrating and mentally spiraling so I went to a yoga class because I just couldn’t practice on my own. But yoga is just not a pill you take when you are feeling crazy; it’s also not something you just do to accomplish a goal; and although these are both valid reasons for going to a yoga class, it is way more. Yoga is a spiritual practice designed to discharge negative Continue Reading
Change based on fear only works for so long…
Fear is not a positive motivator for positive change. Positive change comes from a perspective of self-love. “I love myself and want more joy, more presence, more peace in my life.” Now that is a motivator! Suffering definitely leads to change – for sure. When suffering becomes too great, change is inevitable. And, the depth of suffering can propel a soul and inspire an individual to move Continue Reading
The American Dream…it is simply not true.
We all have thoughts – conditioned behavior believing that happiness is attained through this ‘dream’ handed down. The “American Dream” trains us to buy into a belief that a life of personal happiness and material comfort will bring us joy and freedom. And throughout our lives, we work toward that dream. There are moments of great joy and also suffering. Then one day, we arrive at the “dream” and Continue Reading
